Terms of Service
Plain-language terms
Last updated 18 September 2026. SignalWatch is operated by LiteWork (“we”). By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. What the service is
SignalWatch fetches public HTTP(S) URLs you configure, on the schedule your plan allows, computes a fingerprint of the visible text, and notifies you by email, webhook, Slack or Discord when it changes, fails, or recovers. It is a monitoring tool, not a guarantee: fetches can be blocked by the target site, delayed by load, or miss changes that fall inside your own noise filters.
2. Acceptable use
- Only monitor URLs you are allowed to fetch. Do not use SignalWatch to circumvent access controls, rate limits, robots rules, paywalls or terms of the sites you monitor.
- Do not point monitors at private networks, internal hostnames, or infrastructure you do not control. We block these technically and will close accounts that try.
- Do not use webhooks to attack third parties (for example pointing a webhook at someone else's endpoint to flood it).
- One account per person or team. Free plans are for evaluation and light personal use; creating many free accounts to avoid paying is not allowed.
3. Plans, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through our payment provider Creem (the merchant of record), which handles tax. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period and does not renew. Plan limits (number of monitors, minimum interval) are enforced at the time you create or edit a monitor. If a payment fails we keep your plan active for a short grace period, then downgrade to Free; existing monitors above the Free limit are paused, not deleted.
Refunds: see the refund policy. In short, first payment, 14 days, no questions.
4. Your data
We store your email, a hash of your password, your monitor configuration, and for each notable event the extracted text of the monitored page (compressed) plus a diff, so we can show you what changed. Snapshots are pruned after 45 days. You can delete monitors, and their history, at any time; deleting your account removes everything. Details are in the privacy policy.
5. Availability and changes
We aim for the service to be up and polling continuously, but we do not offer an SLA on the Free plan and offer only best-effort on paid plans at this stage. We may change features, limits or prices; price changes to an existing subscription are announced by email at least 30 days ahead and never apply to a period you have already paid for.
6. Liability
SignalWatch is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for missed or late alerts, false alerts, or decisions you make based on them. Our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break section 2, after notice where practical. If we discontinue the service we will give paying customers at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused prepaid period.
